Verification Policy

Parents trust claimed profiles because we verify who is behind them. This page explains exactly what we check before approving a school claim.

Who may claim a profile

Claims are accepted only from:

  • The proprietor or registered owner of the school
  • The headteacher / head of school
  • A school administrator or admissions officer
  • An authorised representative holding written authorisation from one of the above

Marketing agencies and third parties may manage a profile only with a signed authorisation letter from the school's leadership, renewed annually.

Required documents

Every claim must include:

  1. School registration certificate — certificate of incorporation or business registration naming the school.
  2. NaSIA and/or GES documentation — National Schools Inspectorate Authority licence or Ghana Education Service registration/approval documents, depending on the school type.
  3. Authorisation letter — required when the claimant is not the proprietor or headteacher, on school letterhead, signed and dated within the last 12 months.
  4. Claimant identification — a Ghana Card or other government-issued ID matching the claimant's name.

Documents are used solely for verification, stored securely, and never published.

How we verify

  • Document review against public registers and issuing bodies
  • A confirmation call to the school's official phone line or a visit for higher-risk claims
  • Email verification against the school's official domain where one exists
  • Cross-checks against previous claims and any fraud flags on the account

Most claims are decided within 3–5 working days. If something doesn't match we'll ask for more information rather than rejecting outright.

Revocation & misuse

We revoke claims — and may suspend profiles — where verification was obtained with false documents, where an authorised representative's mandate has ended, or where a profile repeatedly publishes misleading information (for example, false fees or fake facilities). Schools may re-claim after resolving the issue.
